Hey guys-

I am very busy with things going on in my life currently and I really want to get a reef tank going again, I have the 30 cube running and its going fine, I want to do manily soft corals.

I was never really much of a huge fan of soft corals, but I had alot of polyps, if I were to get alot of soft coral colonies like kenya tree, pumping xenia, toadstool, green star polyp, etc. will I need to be dosing any thing like Cal, Mag, and Alk? I dont really have time to do that, but if I have to put in a couple drops a month, I can do that.

My question is, what is going to be the cal, mag and alk intake, if there is one, if I were to have a tank packed full of soft corals?

Thanks,
Austin

very little compared to what you are use to haha i hve them growing in a tank i do water changes on about 1-2 a month and dont dose much of anything on but when i think about it haha

i use a brightwell two part 1-2 times a week and its just a capful of each. spaced 1 minute apart. my 30 gal softy tank has over 40 unique corals and several large colonies so i change my water and carbon twice a month due to hormone wars. pretty much takes care of itself the rest of the time.
