Hi, I'm setting up a new 30-gallon tank(only zoas and paly's) Will a Kessil 160 be a good light for the tank(30x18x24)? any other suggestion(around $250). Thanks

The A160 should be enough for the corals you are looking at stocking. Best bet is to try and centralize the rock work under the light, but that light has quite a bit of power and should be able to cover the tank pretty well if mounted at the right height.

All the best,
Gavin

You're going to have to mount it pretty high to cover a 30" length. It's going to light up the entire room. Anything more than 24", IMO, needs 2 pendant/puck style lights. You can mount them lower, have less spill into the room and get better coverage from end-to-end.
