Here few pictures i found of mine.and one of a video and took screen shot of its underside just before it flipped itself back over,mine looks more orange than strawberry now i look at the underside picture from video ( the last 2 pictures) just quickly googled " strawberry lipped conch" and says its a tiger conch so guess just another name of same snail maybe

This article says strawberry conch and tiger conch so just different name and same as mine on outside shell of the banded dark lines,but either or either seems all conchs are great cuc members,mine usually all day long working and in morning they usually partially submerged,only one time in 6 months i had one of them fully submerged for quite a few days like 4 maybe and just eyes above sand,i researched at time what this meant but got like 20 different answers ha ha but that was few months ago now

Noticed the tail spot blennie got what i think is possible stings from the torch that it always hovering over or around it and if female clown gets to close to the torch then blennie sort of half hazardly charges then posters towards the clown lol and basically blennie on guard duty and doesnt want any fish near his rock which is 40 cm high by 40 cm wide at highest/ widest parts so i prezuming as he guarding the rock,the torch is stinging him as only marks on one side and most marks go vertical on fishes side,but if not a torch sting then could only be large flukes possibly but dont think so,i know fishes especially blennies as they hiding in rocks or stressed lose colour which both my blennies do on occasion but pretty sure this isnt that

On another note i noticed last night a creamy/ orange stripped leg from a hermit crab but i got no hermits with that colour legs,i did have 1 largish halloween hermit crab but i took that back to the lfs about 1 month ago so wouldnt of thought a leg from his molt would still be around but similar colours i think,so unsure who or whats it from.can only be hitch hiker from some the corals i bought ( doubt it) or halloween hermit crab i had in tank spawned and one survived ( also doubt it) so only other option would be i have always had this colour hermit but forgot about it ( but doubt it) so alot of doubt its but one must be true lol

Ok thanks will read again as just had quick look at the terms in that giveaway as i used to enter stuff but read one of them and says only for us only but that one we just entered says outside of us pay for shipping which is fair enough.

And as for leg from a molt it different stripes than halloween was ^_^ as halloween hermit stripes horizontal and one i found is vertical

Light orange and light red leg and vertical stripes but could be classed as cream and light red also.
My rock and sand was all dry and only other way could come in i guess is on the large rock rubble frag plugs but must of been small and well hidden.
I only bought like 14 hermits so far 3 red scarlet,about 5 greeny/ blue hairy legged ones and some brownish ones and pretty sure thats only colours i got but more than likely just forgot did have a orange/ red one i would of guessed if had to

That could be a molt, or wrasse had a nice snack. Most likely a hermit. I would try to watch at night to see if you spot anyone. Or, try to scatter some chopped up shrimp close to lights out. See who crawls around.

Yeah will do ( i know before holiday i spending hours looking in tank after lights out looking all the marvelous bugs ha ha) well just looked old photos of hermits and what i can see at moment ( apart from one who in a banded trochus shell as cant see legs) and none that colour but need stock up more hermits and snails anyhow as one of following pictures of hermits, the one with the browny legs is one of smallest but one the most aggressive and seen him kill 2 hermits in front of me ha ha.i try target feed them when feeding fish and knock them off each other but gets old real fast so just leave them to it now ^_^

Sorry for all photos again.just taking screen shots of old photos and taking new and hard to look then select each photo as keeps resetting if look more than a few pffft

Ive read hairy legs hermits can be pains but my hairly legs one quite chilled and never seen them aggressive so far ( the blue/ greeny ones)

Bigger green with black and yellow knuckled hairy hermit ended up with the piece of clam ha ha.
Only 2 months ago they was same size hermits but now one very much larger, got sold to me as mini hermits and got told they wouldnt grow much bigger but the green/ black ones just keep growing lol

Well just used my newish salifert test kits which 2nd time used,imo still a hobby grade test kit so just give ball park figures just like api test kits do.
Phosphate was easy to read and 0.25.
Nitrate little harder to read as when looking down onto the white card it darker than 25 but not as dark as 50 so somewhere inbetween and instructions say if low readings then can look through the side,now i know 25- 50 isnt low readings so probably salifert will say doesnt work in high range but if look through the side it clearly the colour of 100 so divide by 10 = 10 nitrate.
Alkalinity i had 5.2 ml left in syringe so alk = 7.3.
Ph on api test kits was 7.8 - 8.0 i would guess .
Not got calcium or magnesium test kits yet.
I use standard instant ocean salt and its starting to get dark at nearly 7 pm so need start doing tests earlier in day as artificial light and natural daylight changes what we see with our eyes.( did test last night at 10 pm with no natural light and just kitchen light on and read 0 phosphate lol )

Maybe as i get further into my saltwater journey i may buy hanna checkers but may not,reason being is initial cost and running costs plus i cant ever see me needing or even wanting very specific numbers as ball park of low/medium/high be ok on most tests and some just keep stable numbers within acceptable ranges but will see as my journey unfolds.

Those look fine. Calcium test if you ever see any polyp issues with corals. Honestly, the api alk - calc- kits aren't too bad. It's the api ammonia that is highly untrustworthy.

No need to hana unless you are running for fine tuning your system. Mostly for expensive corals and colors.
