Bit of a set back today no one in town carries bulkheads that I need so going to order some online probably be 3-4 days till it gets here [emoji107]

Ouch that is one thing I always do is order my bulkheads when I order my tanks. Can't trust anyone to have them. That and gate valves.

Ya it sucks but hopefully I can get the plumbing done before I have to go away for a few weeks for work.. Then the next time I come home I can get everything in order for the transfer

Well it wasn't a very productive week home but I got my plumbing 3/4 done now just need to go pick up a reducer and tidy it up a little more on the inside.. And started my wrap around the bottom of the tank.. The wood is just leaning for now but I will be counter sinking magnets to the wood then painting it with a high gloss piano white.. Hopefully it turns out how I see it in my head.

Alright folks I'm back after a loss in the family and Christmas break and all the other things life wants to throw your way I'm back. Tank is fully plumbed and the skirt is completed minus paint and a couple holes I need to drill. I ordered Radion G3 pros which I will be running alongside 2 t5 units. I'm having a hard time finding the rock I want I talked to a few different companies so far and they are either out of stock or don't carry what I'm looking for so while I continue to look for rocks the next plan is to come up with a plan for a canopy and I have no idea what I should do or how I should do it I'm open to any and all ideas.

How about a floating canopy? It would be attached to the wall behind the tank rather then sitting on the tank

Thanks guys I appreciate it. What about evaporation though that's a lot of open room for evap.
I agree The look of a floating canopy is so much nicer.

Its going to evaporate anyway. I floating canopy could allow for the moisture to get out rather then get trapped in the canopy and need fans.

Will also allow the tank to breath better and keep moisture away from your lights

Ya that's true I would need to put a fan in the ceiling then to lead outside so I don't have moisture problems with all that open water. Worst case Scenario while I'm out of town I can make up some kind of cover out of plexiglass or something too to cut down on evap. I'll see what I can draw up here to make work
