300gal DD 48hrs Marathon Build

Frag bucket I made for longer trips. Pump can be switched out for a bubble tower I got from Melev's @melev so that there is still circulation but better gas exchange without frags getting directly disturbed. His standard one also happens to be the perfect height!

Longest I've used it for is 3 days without incident.

The bubble tower seems to be the better way to go overall in my opinion to keep everything stable. I just switched the legs to be mounted vertically off the bottom platform as it's easier to place frag. I'd also suggest a bucket koozie for those people in cold climates as it doesn't hold heat for very long after the power is cut.

Finished making some frag containers for our club available at www.newwaveaquaria.com

Two tone for coral dips/pest detection and display.
Center post can be placed in any position.
Legitimately accommodates 20 frags of medium and small plugs so ample room to prevent coral from stinging each other.

New addition I posted in the fish area but wanted to document on the build.

Blueface Angle... nips about 75% of the coral but everything seems to heal quickly or not be damaged as of yet.

My first run in with Lymphocystis... fish herpes is what it sounds like to me.
I thought it was a fluke at first and eventually caught and cut off though it sounds like that was unnecessary.

Ok so I gotta ask what the f—k kind of camera are u using!?! You get some unreal pics! Wish I had it.
Thanks! Mostly just a pixel III, on occasion a discontinued Sony a65.

I do color adjustments on the standard phone app mostly but the goal is REAL color as it is in person. I still struggle on full tank shots.

Nice setup. Always loved the 300 dd configuration. However, would never have one in my house after reading about the seam failures.

Great job. Mad photo skills. Keep up the great work.

Here's a 1x style salinity probe I put together. It doesn't control anything but the open structure of a 1x probe makes it pretty easy to maintain and is good for ~10yrs. Just pointed a Wyze cam at it and can see what my salinity is anytime a ATO timeout or other occurs.

Been working well since Nov. 2019.

Is that a salinity probe or a conductivity probe?
