My mother in law has a tank that we set up for her and my husband and I noticed that there was a worm like thing on her glass. It was killed before I could get a picture of it. But today I found another one on the glass so I tried to get the best pictures I could to try and identify it. I've done many Google searches and nothing so far. Please help! These are phone pics so sorry if they aren't the best. Thanks

It looks like a bristleworm. If it is, they are beneficial scavengers, but really weird some people out. I would leave it alone, but if you are going to keep removing them, DO NOT touch it with bare hands or fingers, those little bristle spines hurt like a mutha!!!

That kinda looks like a small bobbit (eunice) worm. I could be wrong, and I hope I am.

Yeah, the head is what had me thinking bobbit worm. You likely have more and much bigger ones in your tank.
Yea I hope nope.. it's a nano tank about 10 or 13 gallons. We bought it from reefapaloza this year. It was a display so it came with some rock and the sand.

Agree with the others, head looks a bit like a bobbit/eunice worm which is concerning. They're really rare though so it would suck if you got one

I agree, the legs and mouth look like a bobbit worm.
That would suck if it was, as said before they are really rare

Look out in the future, if anything goes mysteriously missing or coral is dying for no reason, there is probably a larger bobbit worm in the tank.
They are nocturnal, so try observing the tank at night to see if you can see one.

I will start looking at night for sure. My husband and I are always looking at our 75 reef all the time at night.
