I’ve had my 32.5 gallon for 6 months. I recently setup my 125 gallon Monday with uv sterilizer, algae scrubber, sump, 120 pounds of sand, 75 pounds of rock(for now), and wave makers.

the 32.5 gallon has about 50 pounds of live rock, 40 pounds of sand, 6 clowns, lawnmower blenny, cleaner/skunk shrimp, Zoas, frogspawn, and 2 bta. With hydra 32 lights also
..... when and how should I move everything over. Thanks.

If your in no rush than I'd cycle the 120 and start slowly moving your lr and critters over from the 32.

I would acclimate just like normal. Try and get the salinity the same, do a drip acclimation in a bucket for an hour or so. Move the rock over and any filter media. All done!

I was planning on this weekend doing a water change but using old systems water when replacing and then adding everything after acclimating. Which would make the new tank a week old...

If u move all your existing lr over with thier beneficial bacteria you shouldn't even see a cycle.

Do you have a sump running on either of the systems?

If possible, I’d just connect both tanks to the same sump for a bit and then slowly move things over.
