Whaaaa? You're holding out on us.
We need some pro tips.

dang dude your having pretty good success with sps in there! I just got my first birdsnest frag last week just to give it a go, are you dosing?

Yes, dosing with a Jebao DP-4. Works great at 1/3 the cost of the big brand name ones.
Didn’t expect it but my SPS seem to do better in the biocube than in my reefer. good luck with your bird!

Love the tank.. you have inspired me to get the icecap k2-50... I cant find anywhere if you had to trim anything in the biocube to make it fit, can you elaborate a little more or maybe a quick pic of it back there.. Thanks..

Thanks for taking a look. Watch this video. The lip gets cut out in chamber 2 to fit the Tuze skimmer. You’ll need to cut out the same lip but on all 3 sides.

Its kinda crazy. Everything i throw in this tank just grows! I dont fight nutrient issues at all. Do my water changes and replace media on a schedule. Super easy. So why am I taking it down? Cuz its full!!!

In the Reefer my levels are up then down, i get an algae bloom or Dino outbreak when everything bottoms out again. Chaeto grows/strips the water then melts amd polutes it. I should probably focus on re-doing that one first.

I'll just give you the exact quote..."Dude that tank is awesome! Mom, is ours ever gonna look like that?" NO PRESSURE! :)

You’re half way there already! Honestly the best thing I’ve done for this tank is stopped putting my hands in it and just following a routine. I open the lid twice a week to replace filter floss and change 10g every other weekend. Only exceptions are if something falls near the anemones. Otherwise even that waits til the weekend.

Hey Scurvy - I was hoping you could give me some feedback on the Sicce Syncra Silent 1.5 return pump you state you are running....I am looking to upgrade my stock return pump as it is noise and IMO could use some additional flow rate. How do you like the Sicce Syncra Silent 1.5? Is it quieter than the stock pump and do you have it set to full wide open or did you throttle the output down at all? And lastly, does the stock outlet tubing hook directly up to the Sicce 1.5 or did you need some adapters to make it work?

Hi there. Sorry for delay but im traveling at the moment.

The 1.5 is a nice upgrade over the stock return. It is quieter but will take a week or two to really quiet down. I cant point it directly at the surface or I get tons of condensation on the hood/light gaurd.

Also i did find it added to the sound of water trickling through the In Tank media rack. If you’re running a lower water level in the back chambers you may need to increase that to combat the sound.

Thanks for the feedback....all valid points to consider.....I keep my sump water level fairly high just for that reason. I assume you are running the pump at full flow?
