36” tank (which Wavemakers)

Hey everyone!

my 36x15x14 tank arrives on Friday and the last thing I need is a pair of Wavemakers. Since this is my first long tank I’m not surehow much flow I need.

This is going to be a mixed reef with live sand. Will 1 mp40 be enough or should i go with 2 mp10s?

Congrats on the new tanks. Get a build thread going when it arrives so we can check it out. I would go with the 2 10’s on opposite sides. I think you will get a lot more flow options and use of the wide range of power with 2. The 1 40 does not leave much flow on the opposite side of the tank.

I have the same length of tank and I am using two MP40s. Too much.

I would advise you to go with two MP10s.

I got two MP40s since it gives me option to use them on larger tanks in case of upgrade.

I ordered 2 MP10’s yesterday actually. I don’t think I’d upgrade anytime soon as I’m on the second floor.
Thank you though, I’m glad I didn’t go with the 40s
