36 Gallon Build questions

Building a new 36 gallon tank - had a few questions. I'm a total rookie as far as test kits go, how to use them, what they should be at. Had good luck with a previous 75gallon tank that I had no issues with. I would also like to have plenty of corals which I have never had and didn't know what lighting I should buy as well as other live plant/coral/etc information goes. I have my filters and everything picked out. Will eventually add on a sump or make this tank a sump to a bigger tank. Also, are there any good online stores that people on the forums typically use?

Welcome to R2R! No such thing as a silly question here. Bulk Reef Supply is a very reliable and informative outfit. Regards your question on test kits, they have a video, along with many others, on test kits. Their video series 52 Weeks of Reefing is a rich resource to take advantage.

Their lights have plenty of power to grow whatever corals you may desire. You will not be underpowered.
