I'd like to start a build thread for my reboot system. My tank upsatairs is a standard aqueon 120 gallon. I replaced a same size tank several years ago with a new tank that I built an overflow for. Downstairs is a plywood and glass sump that is 8X4x30 inches tall. It now runs at 19 inches water height. Total system volume is about 450 gallons.

downstairs was a frag section and an area for fish only.

The tank downstairs had a pinhole leak that I ignored for too long. The wood rotted out and I was forced to cut the wall and replace the glass.

The tank is complete and I got I salty last week. Sand went in 10/18.

Cutting put the glass on the tank was an absolute nightmare. It took 4 days with guitar string sawing back and forth. I would get a few inches and then score the glass with a glass cutter. Then hit it with the BFH.

The coral all went into a 150 gallon tub I was given to by a friend. The fish went into a 55 gallon tank with a jerryrigged sump.

Unfortunately the stress brought out an ick outbreak and I lost 20 of 26 fish. My next building project will be a full fish quarantine setup. I need to quarantine about 60-80 fish in the next year so I need to become proficient with quarantine procedures. Coral additions will also get a quarantine setup although not as comprehensive.

Beautiful pieces !!

I will also be converting from two part dosing to a calcium reactor. This means I will have two Apex dos with nothing to dose. I am thinking of using the least used unit as a continuous water change of 1 or 2 gallons a day. The used water will be used for my 2 quarantine systems. I will take suggestions for what to dose on the other open DOS.

Lighting upgrade time. Aquatic Life t5 hybrid.

Lower tank is getting almost all the corals from my holding tank. Need this thing to go away so I can begin building my two quarantine systems.
