3D Printed Coral Bandsaw

Looks great! Just when I think I’ve convinced myself I don’t want a 3D printer, a thread like this makes me reconsider it.

Maybe the next version can be spinners :p

Wouldn't be that hard to do. If I add a longer bolt and another bearing....spinners all day. Unfortunately, no chrome.. : '''''''(
 
Sure I will get for you here in a little while.

I actually found the perfect donor. I just have to print a housing. Variable speed, foward and reverse, and decent amount of torque. 120V

Do you do this for a living (3D modeling/rendering)?
 
Wow. This is awesome. How did you learn how to do this?

Baby steps. Modeling is just part of it. Tolerance fits are a crucial thing to learn, without them, most of your assemblies or prints wouldn't work well, or you would be limited to very basic designs.

Here is a perfect example of a tolerance fit. I made a mistake on the wheel bore and the bearing cracked the print when it was pressed in, so the model was updated and now I have to reprint the wheel. The print distorts a bit while it cools, so on it may affect your desired dimensions
