3D Printers - Newbie Advice

Hey all.....I am interested in getting a 3D printer to use to create aquarium stuff. What machine would you suggest for a beginner? I don't want a cheaply made piece of equipment and would like something I could use for a long time. Also, any good 3D printing forums you would recommend?
