3D printing.

If anyone need help or need's something designed let me know. you can send me a PM and i will be glad to help.
What does something like that cost? Or does it depend on how big the print is? I have a cover I need printed. But you'd have to mail/ship it to me.

3d prints are limited to size , But the parts are very light. let me know what you are looking for as far as size and shape, and what the cover is going over.

I already have a stl file made up for the cover I need. Its' on my computer at home, i'll try to upload it tonight.

So is it possible to build a baffle for a refugium? What 3d printer material do you use to put in the water? Interested in maybe doing this for myself. Any advice is appreciated.

So I also own a 3D printer with a print volume of 300 x 300 x 400mm . When printing for aquarium parts I use ABS as this does not leach any chemicals or breakdown in saltwater. I've made quite a few custom things such as a lid of the IM skimmer , Frag rack , and Red Sea filter sock deletion kit ( uses filter floss instead ) Below is a 3D render of the lid I designed and printed for a guy.

i have a friend close by ( UK ) with a printer and i'l wondering if i can get a small corner frag rag for a 10 gallon where would be best to look for the stl files or would it be easier to create my own design ?

You mean like this one :-D

I have printed a few things. Overflow cover, random flow nozzle and some misc parts for management of ATO tubing and dosing. Currently working on a hose holder for the soft tubing on my water change pump so I don't have to hold it and turn power on and off (had a slip one day and missed the tank... big mess)

Has anyone printed a sock holder like the ones that attach to the side of a rimmed/braced tank?
I may attempt one just for kicks

Do people still make things for other people on here? I got a few Jabeo wavemakers, and the magnet mounts were a little messed up. I ordered wp-25s, as thats all i could find, but they are wp-40s. Wondering if someone would be able to print the magnet bodies for me in case the wp-25s are too small.

This could be done.. The cost in 3d printing is mostly associated with Design of the part. More complicated parts would be best to have a stl file (ready to print) or have the part in hand to compare and scale to....
I have printed quite a few Very detailed small parts for a NON Aquarium related project i am working on. Some of them take several tries and Reversions to get Exact . Such as a Specialized tool i am designing for wood working (hope to patent so cant go into details)

a part the size of that magnet holder would take 3-6 hours to print and cost about 3.00 worth materials and 2-6 hours to design....Would be a good Rough estimate..
