3mm3 29g Biocube

The 5g aqua gadget reservoir came in from marine depot. Looks great. Probably will place it beside the stand.
Still waiting for coralline algae to appear.

Oh man I like that

Nice I have a 29 gallon just about to remove the back wall and drill in a overflow and return into a icecap nano sump

When I used an external sump on this tank in the past I used CPR Aquatic CS100 Siphon Overflow. Fit nicely in the center section.

I heard the siphon overflow was not reliable how did you find it

I didn't have any issues at all. I think the key is to make sure you have a return pump that can flow the correct amount of water. Also I did clean the connection for the aqua lifter on a regular basis to make sure I had no clogging.

I think the reservoir will do fine on the side of the stand. I put a hang on tubing bracket at the back to run my line to the peristaltic pump.

I want my top off water to come in through the float switch bracket. I also wanted the end to be fairly close to the water to minimize splashing from the dripping water. (Kind of risky). If it turns out to be an issue I'll run the top off water on a separate bracket.
Have to do some testing.
Some assembly pics here

Mounted the pump at the front for ease of maintenance. Ran the lines. Ato up and running. Ran a separate power box for the system also.
Now I need to clean up the wires. Think I'll also add 1 more electrical box for misc stuff. May end up adding a controller and possibly a dosing system depending on what coral route I decide to take.

I wanted to get the 15 gallon but just didn't have room for it. I'm very satisfied with the reservoir, wasn't sure what to expect when I made the purchase but I'm glad I did.
