yes just let it sit. toss in two pinches of fish food, wait ten days, change out some water you are cycled. its best to add in some liquid ammonium chloride for cycling along with fish food and the Dr Tim's bottle bac to make the ten day mark per Dr Reef's bottle bac thread for that brand. if you dont add any ammonia the levels will stay flat we need to add the bottle bac, plus feed and surface area, then wait ten days and change some water for new then its done.
you wont add too little or too much ammonia just add the normal amounts people add per gallon and it will approximate out just fine, thats why we do an ending water change is to export all the variation in nitrogen people took guesses at during the cycle addition phase at the start.
if you have added the ammonia and bottle bac and some food, whether or not your testers pick up anything won't matter those are exacting testers.
if after day ten you saw nothing on ammonia nitrite or nitrate you could assume the bottle bac was dead, but I havent seen that occur in ten thousand online cycles.
