So i got a great deal on 2 more kessil a360x i had to do some tweaking due to the HOB overflow box ( im definitely gonna get a drilled tank ). Let me know what you guys think its 6.5 inches off the waterline due to their wide lens. Now my question is how much PAR i got on my tank now. I dialed it from %70 down to %50 since i have 4 now. @Crabs McJones i know you like kessils on another thread i said i was gonna put 4 well here it is lol

This is how it looks i have a center brace so they are 6 inches apart from eachother on each side

As mentioned above I would move center lights closer to brace. Another point, you might want to raise them to like 8" or higher so the spread overlaps for more continuity. I have 3 over my 120 and found moving them higher made everything happier instead of concentrating/focusing on certain points in the tank.

You should keep them exactly 9.6 inches apart from each other.
Ok so 9.6 inched apart no matter if one is very close to center brace?

Wont 8 inches cause too much light spill being that they have such a wide lense?

Also what corals you will be housing plays a huge role as well from the photos it does not look like there is much in there yet
Yea just slowly filling with sps on top and lps on bottom, tank is 6 months old so im just setting everything.

On mine 8" worked out great, no spillage and as mentioned more overlap between lights. I'm running 3 on a 4ft long 120 gal tank.

Thanks for the tips guys

That would give you 9.6 inches of clear space in center. Raise them up a bit and step back and see how you like the spread of light and most importantly how your corals react.

Timing is everything...

Awesome!! Also after adding the lights ( just yesterday) i decided to check my alk and it has actually dropped from 8.3 to 8.0 which is saying something i guess lol i fixed the space between the lights to minimize hotspots

Hey quick question, what schedule do you currently have? What intensity and how many hours?
