4 Way Oceans Motions hole placement advice?

Anybody have experience with the 4 Way Oceans Motions? Or just closed loops in general? I am looking for advice on hole placement before we drill my 240g tank...
Tank is 8x24x24. I am pretty sure I have decided to drill the back and not the bottom but wondering if anybody has advice on how far up from the bottom and how far apart to drill them. Any other advice is welcome as well.

Also, any pump recommendations?

I have the Oceans Motions Squirt two way. Originally it was plumbed as a closed loop so I drilled the center back, about half way down for the pump suction line and the two upper back corners for the two returns.
In this photo you can see the upper left corner, I kept the drilled hole down and over the same dimensions as the hole size for strength. You can also see the center back pump suction hole, the upper right has a bulkhead installed so is hard to see.

In this photo the back was not painted yet but you can see the holes pretty clearly.

I have seen many installations where they have mounted the 4 way in the back behind the tank and plumbed the two front returns via PVC placed along the two outside top edges so it does not block light and exits via Loc Lines extending down to the water. I even thought about getting a new drum for my two way, converting it to a 4 way and doing just that but never got around to it. In the interest of energy savings what I did do though is eliminate the extra closed loop pump and the 68 watts it consumed and placed the Squirt in my return pump circuit and plugged off the back center suction hole for now. i still get the random flows but now its on the return rather than the extra closed loop circuit. 68 watts is not a lot but combined with LED lighting, getting rid of the chiller, going to more efficient return and circulation pumps I cut my power consumption and monthly bills drastically. All these things run for hours on end so it adds up quickly.
