4 year old bowfront tank

I've had this tank for 4 years but I've only kept fish in it until this time last year. I decided this because all of my fish died, and finally was able to restart. They died due to a family member accidently dropping a whole container of food in there while I was away at college . But I revamped the whole tank making a new sump and filtration system, used to be canister. I have been slowly upgrading the equipment over time, now the only thing left to upgrade is the tank itself. I will eventually provide a full equipment list but I thought I would just start with photos for now. Sadly I couldn't find an original picture from years ago.

Before the rescape (small algae problem, not much to look at)

If you conditions stay stable, you will have an epic looking tank in a year or 2 with all that coral that you have!

doser is my only upgrade left, idk when i can get one but manually isnt bad right now because water changes usually do the job.

This is really nice. Is that the 45 gallon bowfront? That was my first reef tank. I really love the bowfront tanks. That is awesome that you were able to drill the back for an overflow. Can't wait to see it progress.

I couldnt drill in the back for an overflow due to the material of my tank. I have to use a siphon, which i really don't like because when the flow get cut off its a pain in the butt to stick a hose in a full 180 degree tube and suck until the water is flowing again. I also have to do it at the perfect time to make sure the tank doesn't overflow or not get enough water to get it flowing again. I hate my tank. (not the livestock, just the glass tank.)

yes it is, but sadly its not drilled since i added it after the tank was already established so it is a siphon, my next build will be drilled though, since i see how annoying this one is

Dang - I'd stay awake at night worried about floods or burned out pumps. Maybe the tank fairy will hook you up for Christmas

That is the trick... after colleg, then apartment... most of which may not let you have a tank.... then moving around. It will come bit by bit.... hang in there and enjoy the ride.

Quick update with some corals from WWC, they’re the same ones from above but finally placed on the rocks after beating the algae outbreak. Really need some coral idea to fill out the middle of the tank if anyone has any ideas. Pics were taken on my iPhone with the flipper attachment for the lens, lights also aren’t ramped up.
