40-50 gallon cube?

The 24x24 dimensions are roughly what you'd be looking at either way for a cube .. though maybe not as tall as 2 feet to lower the gallons, so all-in-all, I think the Deep Blue is best bang for your buck, and a true cube, and RR.

I will say this though - their bulkheads are complete garbage. Throw them out. They did nothing but leak for us, and I know numerous people in the hobby who had leaks from their Deep Blue bulkheads. I recommend going with slip bulkheads of higher quality and using spaflex for tubing to your sump.

Also, just to let you know, if you were to get the 24x24 stand .. it is very tight to fit a sump. You can see how much bigger his stand is than the tank (Roughly 31x31 stand), and it barely housed a 20g high sump with a small 5g ato tank. He ended up drilling into the basement out of frustration of trying to work in the tight space.

I went sand less and did PVC board on bottom. I like it. Corals growing on it with no nutrient issues. It is mixed reef. I can get you more pics if you want. Need to wait till tomorrow for lights to cycle back on. Have had no issues with tank. Would get another one without hesitation. In fact I have been thinking about doing another tank.

Ok, umm what exactly is a bulkhead? I'm pretty new to this hobby. :P and that would be great to have new pics! :) so all I was planning to buy was the tank, with the overflow. I was going to make my own stand and have my lfs make me a sump. So what exactly am I buying with this tank?

I have no problem with stand. I have a eshoppes sump in it, along with apex equipment, and a three gallon jug of top off water. That also includes two reactors mounted on outside of sump inside of the stand.

Your fine. The bulk heads go inside he overflow to send water to sump. I have had no problems with mine. They are essentially PVC pipe going through plastic fitting to hoses going to sump. I have flexible tubbing inside of stand connecting bulkhead pipe to sump and return pump. Make sense?

Dealers choice. Everyone will have different opinion. As I said I would buy another deep blue without hesitation. That being said marineland has nice tanks too I believe. I haven't seen their rimless in person though. Hope this all helps.

You guys have been a great help! Does deep blue or marineland have a 50 gallon cube? I don't know if my mom and dad will let me get 60. I really want a 60 gallon.
