I have an RO/DI in my apartment as well. I just use the faucet connector and leave it under my kitchen sink, I don't have washer/drier connections in my apartment.

I use LEDs..... In my sump.

We are raffleling off a RODI at the swap.
Well if it has anything to do with random chance I have the worst of luck lol. But i will try :D

What rodi do you have? What is a good one to buy?

Also anyone have any ideas how to lower my alk?
Would mag being off make my alk lvl high?

So I was strolling throught petco yesterday and couldn't pass up a female square box anthias for 15$

Should I do a really really big like 20 gallon waterchange with rodi water to bring down my alk and phos?
Also i am out of salt so I can buy another brand so to say what brand has lower alk? I normallly us regular instant ocean.
Open to suggestions Will be buying the water from the critter. Letting it mix for 24 hours ect.

What is peoples alk mixed with normal io salt?

Ditto on the Red Sea Salt (regular not pro). I have a five stage unit from BRS, does what it's supposed to.

That fish will out grow your tank in no time at all. do you know how big they get? and they are mean. just fyi

here is the salt you need and where you should order it from.
Red Sea Salt, Aquarium Salt Mixes | PetSolutions
Much appreciated on the salt reccomendation i will be ordering that tonight.
On the anthias every where i read said this
:[SIZE=-2] 25 gallon tank will suffice for one fish, however, if keeping a group, a 125 gallon tank should be used since the Squareback Anthias appreciates plenty of room to swim. And that it is peacefull.
Also it looks alot bigger than it is in the picture its only 3" long. I also dont plan on keeping alot of big fish.Stocking plan is another royal gramma, bangai cardinal, and maybe a mandarin.

this is what live aquaria has to say

This variety of Anthias does best in*an aquarium*with low, indirect lighting or its brilliant colors will fade. Although preferring to remain at the mid-tank level, they have been found at depths up to 600 feet in the wild. A 25 gallon tank will suffice for one fish, however, if keeping a group, a 125 gallon tank should be used since the Squareback Anthias appreciates plenty of room to swim.

They are cool fish. My wife wanted an anthias but she picked the pistol shrimp instead... And it ate my firefish :-(

Wow! I've had a pistol shrimp for months. All he's ever done was toss a crab out of his burrow, literally, and snap at a clown that came too close while checking him out. He loves with my YWG.

Yeah he apparently wanted to be the only one in my rocks and when he firefish came in he got him. Really sucked. But aquatic critter said they had him for a long time and he pushed everything out of the rock. I told them something ate, my firefish and he said bring the pistol shrimp back lol. They made it right though and refunded the full price but I bought the wrasse with the money and bought a new fire fish
