thanks to all for your help! Especially the filtration questions :)

So here it is! I opted for a 55 rated marine land hob filter with floss only in a 40 breeder. 2 heaters (just to get it up to temp quicker lol) and 2 koralia nanos. I'll probably need more eventually. I have a lifeguard 18 inch light over the zoas (which are raised 6inches) and an ai prime over the lps. Once everything settles in, I'll add all the rainbow acans.
The only fish in there now is a flasher wrasse.
Only think left to do is get more live rock rubble for the bottom and cut the lid to size.
Thanks again for all your help!!

Fitting everything together on my bed :)

Finished-don't mind the crooked pvc risers. It was my first hacksaw adventure!

I'm still debating how much more flow to put in there.

lots!
one of the few propagation tanks Ive seen in person had kinda amazing flow. All done from the bottom actually, under the crate. the water was so turbulent it was tough to look down on it. all zoas and lps come chalice too.
The system kinda made sense too as nothing will settle on the bottom. Might be fun to play with anyway, as you can use return pumps and jets if you have them laying around.

The two I have are below the egg crate angling back towards the hob filter. I'm thinking of moving the nanos up to the middle/top and putting bigger ones for under the crate. I don't want to overdo it on the acans though. Some are super big and fluffy lol
