40 breeder lighting solutio

We are returning to the hobby after 3 years and going to be using 2 hydra 52 over our new 40 breeder. This might be a little overkill I know but I didn’t want to but anything new, and felt one would fade off to much on the sides. My question is mounting height and best way to mount them.

For better coverage, I would mount them perpendicularly. Doing so would give you much better fore to aft coverage and spread. Because of the relatively low 16” height of the 40 breeder, I would mount them at least 12” over the water.

Look at how this guy mounts 3 Hydra 52s perpendicularly over his reefer 250, which has a very close footprint to a 40 breeder.
