Would a rw-8 and a rw-4 be good enough?

It will be a mixed reef and This is what I have right now (well can get I should say)

I would use the rw-8 as my main power head on the left side of the tank and was thinking of the rw-4 on the opposite side on the back wall?

I had the SW-4 on my 40B. There is an OW-4. The newest model.
Both powerheads faced each other. Here is what it looks like on a 40B.

I plan to run two Mp10s on opposite sides. One will be at 60-70% while the other is at 0, then one will ramp down to 0 while the other ramps up to 60-70.

Absolutely! I do not have any SPS. I wanted that bounce to my torches & frogspawns. Something that could be shut off at the push of a button if I have dragonet that can not hunt very well, because I will always have a dragonet.
It worked on my 40B and works fine on my 65g.

Is your 65 the same footprint as the 40b?

I have a 65 thats 36x18x24, and looking to relocate my 2 rw-4's. I have them on the back wall and also 2 korillas but I dont like the look of 4 powerheads in the tank

It is the same footprint as the 40B. I have a Hydra 460 I think sitting on my back glass, cause it was sitting around doing nothing. I put it facing at a bubble gum digitata for flow on it. Well it died. Maybe cause it was freshly fragged or cyanobacteria.
About the 2 SW-4s. They can handle the 65g by themselves in my opinion.
