40 breeder question

Perfect timing for the Petco $1/gallon sale as my 6 year old Solana has popped a seam! Grabbed a 40 breeder for temporary holding while I try to repair the Solana. I will repurpose the 40breeder after - I noticed the bottom is tempered. My question - does anyone know of these (Tetra) tanks have non-tempered sides so I can drill it?

I'm not sure or not, I'd personally try it and if it breaks you are only out the $40.
