I have a question
In my 14 cube, my paly's are not opening and my clownfish has been picking at it. Do you know why?

Maybe the clownfish is trying to host them?

Is there any chance that something got sand on/in the head of the paly? One of mine did that a while back and I blew on it with a basterand a huge chunk of sand came out, it has been fine ever since. Doesn’t explain the clown though.

one of my zoanthids also isn't opening fully but i dont see my clowns picking on it
Did you dip it? There may be some pests or it could be due to lighting.

i recently moved them but there are like 7 polops on it would they all be closed?
If you moved it, then give it a couple of days. Zoas can be finicky if you touch them

i did not dip them. I'm new to the saltwater hobby but i have many freshwater tanks and my dad used to do saltwater.

Well from now on, you should dip corals to avoid bad hitchhikers. CoralRX Pro or Bayer works well for dipping corals.

They are opening today. Thanks! Looks like I'll buy the Viparspectra and a 20 long sump with diy kit from fiji cube.
Good to hear! Zoas do that sometimes, one of mine was closed for a few days recently too and finally started opening back up yesterday. Good luck with the build, glad you made some decisions. Those are always the hardest part for me, once you know what your plan is, should be smooth sailing from there.
