Hey, I got my 40 breeder up and running, and added my first fish yesterday! Its a Six Line Wrasse by far one of my favorites, and one the reasons I wanted to start a saltwater tank. I know I need to add things slow, so im just looking for ideas. I know for sure I want a Clownfish, cause whats a saltwater tank without a clown. What others could I look into?

Bangaii cardinals, azure damsels, dottybacks, sand sifting gobies, blennies (tailspot, starry) and maybe a smaller dwarf angelfish (cherub, African flameback)

I like the cardinals and blennies was lookng at the bicolor. I read that damsels and dottyback can be pretty mean though? I like the way some of the dottybacks look, but I dont really see any damsels that interest me.

dottyback and sixline probably won't go well together

putting a sixline in first might prohibit adding a whole lot more. i'd avoid any rock based/pod eating type fish with that in there

Yes, dottybacks can be aggressive. The alternative would be a royal gramma.
