I have just completed my cycle of a 40G Breeder tank. I currently have 1 cleaner shrimp, 5 variety snails and 5 blue-legged crabs in there. I am making the plans for what I'd like to stock with going forward. My primary concern is putting fish in the wrong order to where aggresive ones won't allow new fish in and also over-stocking.

Please provide any feedback or anything you think I may be forgetting that would be awesome to have and would get along with everything else. I greatly appreciate you all and your responses! I am a complete beginner, so your experience is incredibly valuable to me.

Wave 1 (This weekend)
  • 2-3 Pajama Cardinals
  • 2-3 Blue Chromis
  • 1 Firefish/Dartfish
After Algae Starts Growing - Add Additional CUC
  • Additional snails and crabs
  • Emerald Crab
  • Fire Shrimp
Wave 2 (A few weeks from now assuming everything goes smoothly)
  • Lawnmower Blenny
  • Goby (have not determined what kind)
Wave 3 (a few weeks after wave 2 assuming everything goes smoothly)
  • 2 clowns (would love 2 paired black ice clowns)
  • Royal Gamma
In a few months (after things have become established, everything is happy, etc.)
  • Introduce corals (LPS primarily)
  • Anemone (hopefully to host the clowns)
  • Starfish

looks good,
and does blue chromis mean the dark blue carribean type or the murderous light blue pacific type?
anyway, I’ve never had any luck keeping those light blue ones

Thank you very much for the feedback. Hearing somebody else say that it looks good makes me breathe a little easier going into this.

By the Blue Chromis, I didn't realize about the other one's you had mentioned. I'm essentially thinking of a green chromis, but like when they have a little blue tint to them.

I’d welcome and wouldn’t argue other feedback…
I’ve never owned the carribean chromis, but many have said they don’t just kill each other like some other species do….
just my experience but the light blue types I’ve gotten in the past were jerks… just one sample
