40 breeder with sump build

Nothing wrong with a budget build, I am helping my dad with one. It's amazing how creative and resourceful you can get when you want/need to. You said you were going to have a fuge, any idea what light your going to go with?

This is the one we used for my dad's tank, its similar to the one you are looking at just a different spectrum. It seems to be doing a good job. I run one of the UFO lights, it's a little more expensive but grows like crazy.

Yeah it does pretty good, he ended up with the 50w version but I think the 100w version in the link is the way to go. I wish we would have gone with the bigger wattage. The ufo is 150watt but my dad has a 10g sump as well and I think the UFO would be too much for it.

Two month update. Everything is still working great. Corals are grown much more and much quicker. Ive been dosing phytoplex one per week, and feeding fish once daily with once per mont water changes. Here is a current video

Anyone use the Tunze 3152 ATO? The one for under 55 gallons? I just ordered one so im curious. I probably should've checked in b4 i bought it. Lol

Tunze ATO installed! Used a food grade 5 gallon bucket as my reservoir.

Built a custom light hanger frame and set up my new lights. Lights are DsunY Popbloom LEDs. So far they look great.

It's been two months since my last update. My DsunY LEDs are still kicking butt. I have started dosing Calcium and Alkalinity due to the increase in SPS coral and the purple coraline algae has taken off! Lol. Happy so far.
