Can anyone recommend a stand for a 40 gallon breeder tank? I am looking for something hopefully cream to an off white color.

Just a suggestion but if your crafty or know someone that is, you might check out the DIY threads. It would be much cheaper and you can design and paint it how you like it. :)

Thanks soft tail unfortunately not and I am kinda pushed for time somewhat. I ordered everything including some live brine shrimp so I need to buy one soon. Thanks though

Sorry I wasn't more help, I haven't had to shop for one. Did you do a search for 40 gallon breeders? I just looked and there are quite a few. You might find one with a stand you like and you could pm them and ask where they got it.

No worries, I appreciate your help..I'm just better off buying because of time and lack of DIY skills

Check with your LFS. They will often times have someone that makes tank cabinetry for them. I know mine does and 40B is a pretty common size, they will likely have one available.

This.

Where are you located? I can throw one together in a short afternoon from leftovers I already have in my shop. I'm certain there are plenty more out there like me.

Virginia, I am going today to see if they have what I need at the LFS around 1pm EST.

Any solid wood heavy piece should manage. My 45 bow is in an old solid oak wall unit.
Really ur talking 400 pounds of water plus any substrate/stone(if u ise any in a qt)

Purchased the stand ! Wahoo! Lol. Now just waiting on everything else to come in this week. Thanks to all for the responses

BTW my wife didn't like the black color on it, so we used tint able chalk paint and painted it. It looks fantastic, one of a kind. Kinda gives it a distressed look. Very happy with it!

I feel like a little kid knowing by this coming weekend this will be setup and possibly ready to add fish. I will be using ammonium chloride and turbo start 900 to get this baby up and going.

I think I will add the following fish when time is right. Pair of clownfish, flasher wrasse, orange diamond back goby, maybe a purple pseudochromis but not sure about him. Heard they can be real ugly towards others. Might just opt for a yellow midas blenny instead. Once I get the tank going I will add some members of a clean up crew.

Swap the purple pseudochromis for a P. fridmani (orchid dottyback) They have a better purple to them than the reg dotty and without all the attitude they are also available as a captive bred. Should go well with the other fish you mention.
