40 Gallon Clown Harem...

After days of posting threads and thinking and watching BRS, I think my final tank choice will be a clown harem, I have watched their videos and I know of habitat aggression and food aggression and I do plan on breeding my current pair of ocellaris for the harem so I do not end up having chaotic clownfish. Is this possible and I do plan on an auto feeder and a bunch of anemones. I do have a coral beauty or I will keep fed and if I have to, I will set up a 10 Gallon tank for the babies to grow. I will have a similar aquascape to BRS and have some more hiding spots in case they start being aggressive,
If this is all possible, I will stick to this tank as I love clownfish and anemones and I love clownfish in anemones. In the future (Not positive) I might add some clams,

Wait, would I be able to add a designer pair of ocellaris clownfish with my current ones and I will have a bunch of anemones and feed often and have plenty of hiding place

5 Months-
Will be adding more rock and I will target a similar aquascape to brs

i would recommend holding off on nem and then nems few more months ,can have harem of 10-12 in 40 as juvi's but start planning on larger tank/breeding/set up if route you are going,these have been in 40 br since feb,hob skimmer ,hob filter,ph,have not lost any ,nor any aggresion,jumpers,

Sorry I did not get the first line of what you said up to the comma but since I cannot upgrade could I have 5-7 adult clowns?

wait to add any bta for a few more months,add one ,make sure does well before adding more,i think 5-7 would be ok ,problem is ,you have two already ,could be highly aggresive to new additions

I ready have a BTA and he is doing good, he got bleached from temp and lighting but all those have been fixed and.now he seems good. Should I use a acclimation box for the new additions?

you can mix ,8 pushing it for perm home 5-7 most likely may lose a couple to bullying,no qt ,is asking for disaster jmo

Why? I heard that clownfish have a strong mucus layer or something that makes them more stronger. I am not trying to argue by the way but what if I get them in person? Also thanks for the help. I love clowns and nems but my ocellaris just do not like my BTA the best info I have heard In reefing is-ocellaris host anything other then nems. Anyway could rapid fish QT work or could I observe it at the LFS I have

On a clown harem there will be only 1 female and the rest males, if you get 2 females the weakest one will be killed by the other, until the dominat female dies or is removed from tank, no other clown will transfer to female. So you will not have pairs on a 40 g.
