40 gallon frag tank build

Hey Everyone! this is my first build thread. I have a 90 gallon rebuild I'm going to start very soon ... But first my 40 gallon build....

My first teaser pic.

Almost completed(except for plumbing and water)...

It will be plumbed into the 90 gallon's sump, which will be re-located under the frag tank. It's Berlin type sump fww.

There's the 90 gallon rebuild. See all that sand. Its coming out.... except for a half inch.... and the new canopy. The stand will be sanded and changed to black stain like the new frag tank. But that's for another thread.

Look there's R2R in the reflection.

Anyways back to the frag tank pics coming soon on the build. Just have to download them from the old phone. Going to take a minute for that.

I custom built the stand.
And put a through the glass overflow and return in. Let me know if you want to know the vendor. They are not supporters of the site, although they should be with all the DIY'ers on this site
The tank is a dollar a gallon deal from a LfS sale.

Okay so its been a while since I updated so here are some new pics of the build. This tank is plumbed together with my 90 gallon. So I'm going to combine the rebuild of the 90 in here too.

I made the stand using pocket holes to keep the build clean

What have I gotten myself into? This was a solo job... No local reefers(that I know of) close to me for help Yep thats a shop vac and I'm glad I had it. Saved me hours....

Success! The 90 rebuild with a half inch of sand. Whew... 10 long hours..

More pics to come... This was a month ago and I've yet to do some final modifications on the rock. If I can only figure out how to use my stinking Sony fx-3 I could share some cool coral pics...
