400g FO questions.

Alright guys, I put in the order for my 72x36x36 tank this week that will be going into my new house at the end of this year. I plan to house several angels, and maybe a few butterflies as well as a moorish idol. This will be the first FO tank I'll have. What specifics should I know when it comes to the order of adding fish.

Unless you are adding very sensitive fish, you should be able to put all of them in. If you want to play it safe, put in the aggressive angels the last.

Butterflies first before the angels, if you have copperband in your list, it should be among the first bfs, and if you have auriga, should be the last bfs......not sure about moorish idols

Get the idols in first, though unless they are a pr, they will be aggressive toward each other.

Add the most aggressive fish last.

Thanks guys for the replies. Butterflies are kind of an afterthought tbh. I'm mainly interested in angels and maybe a few tangs. Didn't know about the idol going first so thanks for that.

So far with the fish I want off the top of my head I'll have about 25 or so fish total. My lfs that I saw this size tank at has about 40 fish so I'm thinking I'm not going to be too heavily stocked all things considered.

Are there any specific angels that don't fare well with others.

All of the large species can be territorial. If you are adding medium sized species, such as regal, flagfin, bandit, or scribbled, add these before the large species.
