I recently moved to a new house and I decided to start over with a new tank and a new build thread. It was not an upgrade in size but certainly in quality and equipment. My old build was a 40b also but with overflow box and a small wet dry as a sump etc. This time around things are so much more clean.

So here it is..the new tank.

Started completely over except my rock, corals and fish.

New tank is a 40B with a drilled herbie overflow built in. The sump is a 29g which adds way more volume then I had before and gives me much more sump room. The stand is custom built and the tank sits in it and is covered by molding all the way around. It has a dual drilled return and a painted blue backround. So far I'm loving it all.

I used a mix of tropic eden mini flakes and the normal flakes..I cant believe I've ever used any other sand before, this stuff is amazing.

The rock work is similar in design but I changed it a bit and im in love.

Coral wise, I elimated many that I just didn't love and ive eliminated even more now that I have placed some and found that I have a few that are just too close in coloration. I am going with all named/le corals with a few exceptions and it will be completely sps apart from my one torch.

Overall I just love the new tank and how its setup. I was able to fix all the mistakes I made the first time around

Now for pics

Decided to add a height difference in the bommies as I think it #1 is more aesthically pleasing and #2 it gives me more room for placement and #3 it allows me to better place corals that like less light. Heres what I did

Update

So I ordered some acropower and just set it up tonight. Ill post any changes with pic proof; I took a pic of everything before to compare it too also. I've never bought into supplements but this one got me curious. For only $7 a bottle, I'll give it a shot

2 days in and I have pe on acros that never did until night time. I'm remaining skeptical so that I dont get a placebo effect BUT I watch my tank everyday and never saw polyps until now on those 2 pieces. Nothing else was changed, take it as you will

Thanks guys for all the kinf words. I need to post an update pic. Ive had good growth. Filtration is a 29 gallon sump, filter sock, tunze skimmer, brs gfo reactor and 5 gal weekly changes.

Subscribed, keep us updated with any noticeable changes, I have been using fuel, but doing a lot of reading on acropower
