Made another order today another step closer to having it running. Still need to get the test kits, salt, skimmer and I think that’s about it

So for the next order I will be trying to actually get the tank running I am ordering a hydor koralia evolution 1050/1150 circulation pump. Red Sea fish farm marine salt. And a Red Sea test kit with nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, ph, and alkalinity testing.

I do plan to order a calcium and magnesium test kit and I think that will be all I need. I hope lol.

How big is the gap between bottom of doors and the floor? I’d be concerned with swelling of the wood causing a problem.

I cut down a little over a blade from touching the floor. But it would be an easy fix if I needed to trim them.

Ok so just got some goodies in today. Ended up also making a canopy to hang the light from. It will also be finished with pallet wood and either 2 side opening cabinet doors or 1 upward opening door with shocks on it. The siding will come down to cover the black ring on the top of the tank.

Like how the canopy is hiding the hanging kit to the blackbox. Was the main reason i didnt like mine, lack of hanging options that werent diy.
Are you going with a sump? Even if its just a 10g tank no baffles will hide all that equipment. And still leave room for other equipment and storage in the stand.

No this one is no sump as of right now. I ended up doing the canopy out of no where lol. I didn’t want to hang it off the ceiling so this was my fix

Today I got the light and timers setup. White light from 0645 to 1900 and blue light from 1900- 0130. Blues are at 75% and whites are at 15%. If anyone has any tips on if this should be changes differently please let me know lol.

Both on i think an 11 or 10 hour photoperiod for a mixed reef.

This is going to be my next order sadly the api test kit is the only one that will ship to me being in japan. I will be getting rock from the LFS. Everything else is difficult to read but thank god I can just point to the rock to get it lol

Yea I am actually thinking about turning the power up just a little bit on them. And adjust the time up as well

Today I got all the boards to finish the canopy cut just need to pick up a hinge and will put it together tomorrow

I found a shock system for cabinet doors I may get for the front of the canopy so when opened it will stay on it’s own.

Just need to add the live rock. And it is time to cycle. I still need to build the front door then the canopy is complete . Do t mind the magnetic ninja on the side lol
