40g breeder lighting ?!

Can’t figure out what light I want to use 500$ Budget. Currently have 1 ai prime 16hd on my evo 13.5 so I was thinking maybe one more to add to the 40g to have two or keep the single one on the evo and get a hydra 32 for the 40g But then again I’m not sure if the 32 will be enough spread. Help help lol

I currently have 3 primes on my 40 breeder and my corals are doing great. I know people who only use 2 but with your budget why not go 3 and have everything covered in your tank with no shadowing.

3 primes is probably the best way to go full blown sps in a 40G but 20 should hold you over quite fine for awhile to be honest and might even be gone long term for a mixed reef with sps placed smartly.

2 Primes for mixed reef and you can have a few SPS in the center
3 Primes for SPS dominant

I was also looking into that one how do you like it and how is your corral growth? I’m not getting into sps as of right now. But lps and soft coral sps down the road

Noopsyche k7 pro ii has been good for me so far, though the controller is a real pain to work with. 2 will probably be enough for a 40 breeder with lps and softies.
