Had a 120 gallon reef but about 6months ago woke up at 3am to an exploding tank. Have no idea what caused it but is what it is I guess.

Set up an old 40 breeder I had moved some of the live rock I had in the 120 to that. And the only surviving Valenti puffer and 2 clows
Been up in running for almost 6 months now.
Have 60 gallon display sump with rock and macro. No name skimmer but works quite well.

I want to do a predator tank.
How's this stocking list sound
Valenti puffer
2 clowns
Fuzzy dwarf lion
Fuman Chu lion
Snowflake eel
Bubble tip anemone
No major coral plans

Overstocked?
I have a breeding tank of saltwater mollies I used on last tank for food for the lions

There is an awesome 40b predator tank on youtube. It has three different lions, a snowflake eel, and clowns. When I typed in 40b predator tank on youtube it is the third video called predator paradise.

That's a whole lot of fish for that little of a tank. Just because it's done on there may not make it right. Fish that are aggressive in cramped areas only get meaner. Be live me I have learned the hard way. I had three small puffers in a 20 long qt tank and one of them was waiting to be moved to a way bigger tank. Needless to say I only have one puffer left. I have other mean fish spread all over my house because the would not play nice in small qt tanks now that are in smaller tanks by themselves.

Maybe you can contact him and see how they are doing now?

The tank is still doing well. It was actually on the cover of Reef Hobbiest magazine at MACNA. The only fish she has lost is one of the lionfish that just stopped eating. The entire tank thread is on another forum and the link is in the youtube video. Not saying everyone will have the same success though by any means.

I believe you might be talking about @FeliciaLynn, she is a member here. Her tank was featured in a video on marine depots web site and I know her tank was also featured in a marine hobbyist magazine(not sure which one) but she has posted awesome videos on R2R as well. Beautiful tank.

Yes that is her did not know she is a member here. That is awesome. I absolutely love that tank.

Wont the lions eat your clowns or valentini puffer? I have clowns and a Valentini, but they are all really small right now. On a side note, I love my Valentini! :) I found a tiny one at my LFS and couldnt walk out the door without it! :)
