40g breeder question

Nope. With most tangs, length matters. They like to swim so longer is better. I personally do not like too many types of tangs in most home tanks. Exceptions are the Kole tang, Tomini Tang, most Zebrasoma spp. These do not get too large. Plus they captive breed one now. 
FME Tangs grow pretty fast, so even a baby will outgrow it quickly. Again, I have only kept a kole and those from Zebrasoma sp. I have a 210g 7ft long tank.
Obviously this is my opinion and others may disagree. There are soooo many types of fish that would be good in a 40g. Maybe look for other ideas.
