Hey everybody,

Figured I should start a log of my build so I can keep track of progress and share with others at the same time. I will be transferring livestock from my 34G Solana cube, but will be starting with fresh rock. Please enjoy and feel free to comment. (Constructive criticism is also appreciated)

Equipment:
- Visio 40G with right corner overflow along with pine stand
- Reefkeeper Lite (Maybe apex soon..)
- Vortech MP10
- Rio 2200 Return Pump
- SeaSide Aquatics ES5 Skimmer
- AI Hydra 52

Fish:
- Pair of captive bred clownfish (Percula and B&W)
- Blue Midas Blenny
- Yellow Assessor
- White Spotted Pygmy Filefish

The tank will be a mix of LPS and SPS, I may add some nicer zoas down the line also.

I plan on taking my cube down on Wednesday and switching everything over to this tank hopefully right after. If not, should have everything in by thursday.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I was able to get everything switched over a couple of days ago. The whole process went fairly smooth with no casualties. (Except the pincushion urchin that I forgot about and found dried up in the old tank) Everything seems to be settling into the new home just fine.

I will try to update with some pictures tomorrow hopefully. Everything has been running smoothly. Skimmer is finally dialed in and starting to pull some nice dark nastys out. I also re-arranged the left rock a little bit which I feel gives it a better look along with better coral placement down the road. I also purchased a couple of new fish and coral additions that I will be picking up tomorrow. Fully QT'ed and treated already so will be good to go straight into the display.

Thank you! I have been following your build thread as well, great looking tank. It was actually one of the tanks on here that helped me decide on setting up a 40 gallon.
Well thank you I've gotten busy with few things in life. So haven't updated it for a bit but just got a dslr so should be posting better pics really soon hopefully.

Thank you for the kind words everyone.

Here are a few updates:
- Received an order of 2 wrasses, a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse and Naoko's Fairy Wrasse. Both came in super healthy and have been getting along and eating great. They actually prefer to cruise around together which wasn't what I was expecting. Both were put straight into the display, risky I know. But they were purchased from a vendor who had these fish for a 2 month QT and showed no signs of disease or illness. I trust what he says.
- Re-arranged the rock a little bit. Trying to create some more real estate for corals down the road. Left side will be mainly lps/softies and right side will mainly be SPS. May try a few gorgonians down the road also, just need to do a little more research.
- I've also started dosing prodibio. Not because I was having any issues, just wanted to try something new and see the results. Will update my thoughts on this product as time goes on.

Now some pics.. which aren't the best. I still need to figure out how to make these look good.

Couple of new updates...

Unfortunately, I had to give away my Midas Blenny to a local reefer. He was one of the first fish in the original tank and had become pretty aggressive. Once I added the new wrasses, he would chase them relentlessly. Even though he was definitely one of my favorite fish, I am a bigger fan of wrasses so the blenny had to go. Since then, I snagged a blue flasher wrasse from a local reefer who had a couple of them in his QT tanks. So I put him into the display tank today. A little chasing and flashing from my Naoko's, but it stopped in about 5 minutes and now all 3 wrasses are swimming around peacefully.

Figured I would update this thread. I purchased some frags at a local store during a black friday sale, came away with some nice pieces. Picked up the 2 photosynthetic gorgonians for $5. Tank is finally stocked to my liking (overstocked for some, but I have always ran higher bioload tanks). As always, comments or criticism is appreciated.
