40g Peacock Mantis tank build

I decided to start a thread for my mantis tank build. Starting with a 40g aqueon. Built the stand frame and painted the back and one side black.

Will be skinning and painting the stand this weekend.

Thank you! Rock still hasn't shipped yet. Need to make the cave and put down some starboard in the bottom. Rockwork then water.

No. Local shop gets them fairly frequently. One of the guys there is an enthusiast.

Stand is done..... AND I lucked into the exact protein skimmer I wanted used for less than half the price of new!

HDPE plastic board cut and fit in the bottom to prevent an over enthusiastic digger.... Maybe overkill but a little piece of mind.

Abs cave ready, spare light and power strip installed, sand ready, water mixing..... Just waiting on the ups guy with my rock.

Finally got the cave and rock the way I like. Had to get twice as much sand! Little cloudy but running.

That's the 110... Biggest one. It'll give 10x turnover and a huge basket to add filter media, carbon, whatever.
