You will be able to see them moving around. The problem with your setup is you have no way to separate the babies from the egg shells. If you turn off any agitation and look very carefully, you'll see the brine shrimp scooting around in there. The secret is that the bbs are attracted to light and will seek it out. So if you black out their container and create a tunnel that leads to a lighter side, the bbs will swim into the lighted container for you, leaving the egg shells behind. Good luck!

It’s been a while

Changed a lot about the tank and started a fresh water tank too

Try as I might, I have a tough time getting excited about freshwater tanks (to me they just look dirty, dull and drab). That said, I did recently do a 10 gallon Glofish tank for work. Probably will be my only foray into that world.

This is definitely true about mine. I can’t get the carpet to grow in. But I think I’m starting to get the tank dialed in.
