42 bowfront!

well looks like the bowfront wont be the center piece in my living room anymore lol, Wife found a 75 gallon tank already setup for reef. So this thread might be changing but thank you all so much for all the information!

so just a little update for everyone, sorry about the delayed reply but my build just got turned completely on its head lol. Went from just doing a 45 gallon bowfront to now doing a 65 gallon acrylic corner tank with hidden filtration. so now......how do you filter and light a corner tank? or should i just start a new thread?

Corner.... is it a curved front? Pics always help!

For what it’s worth, I started with a used Fish-only, live rock 46g bowfront that had a canister filter. I upgraded the light and flow on it and tried out some corals. I moved all the rocks from it to a 75g non-drilled with a hang on back overflow, and a DIY 30g sump that came with a bunch of rocks and some coral that miraculously made it. I set up a Nano, because my Anemone liked to wander and BELIEVE ME..... there is no Nem proof powerhead covers for a determined nem. I am currently waiting for my next tank to be built..... 8’ long shallow acrylic beauty.......

That will be my 4th tank, for a guy who never had a tank in their life, in less than 6 months........

If I were you...... sell the corner tank now, decide what big-beautiful tank you want (You will be asking about Tangs before you know it..... just start looking for that nice 150 on Craigslist now....) and save yourself a lot of time/money/headaches.......

my issue is 65 is as big as i can go with my house's supports. So im trying to make this the best 65gal i can with the little budget i got.
