Good morning everyone, my name is Jason.
I have had African Cichlids for years and finally decided to try the dreaded salt water tank about 3 months ago. Lol. I figured I'd keep it very small(went with a standard 29 gallon tank) wanted a couple clownfish and maybe one more thing. Nice and simple, yeah. Well I've already decided 29 gallons is not enough. Lol. It took 3 months to know I'm going minimum 55 and full reef! Heh. So as of now I have a 29 with hob aq70, seaclone 100 skimmer, viparspectra 165, two koralias(565, 425). Live stock(I know it's probably to heavy) 2 Domino clown, flasher wrasse, coral beauty, lawnmower blenny, and a watchman/pistol pair.

Ended up with some corals as well.(as I realized their more beautiful and amazing than anything I've ever seen) A few zoas, got some gsp that came on live rock, some pulsing zenia that came on live rock, a ricordia, red bra, a free mini carpet that came on a piece of live rock.....and....phew. I think that's it.

That's why I've decided I'm addicted and am already starting to slowly buy next tank. Lol

So as I have been going online researching things I keep finding my answers on forums. Mainly, this one. Heh. So I finally decided to join my first internet group ever, and you guys are it. I plan on having lots of questions and hope I don't annoy you to fast.

Thanks for having me,
Jason

Thank you. I noticed while I was researching various things a lot of my answers were found in threads on this forum. So I figured I might as well just join.

Welcome, It's not embarrassing having Cichlids. It's not like you had Aardvarks or Platypusses. Almost, but not as much. :p

Glad you joined. :)
Ha! I absolutely love my cichlid tank. They are amazing to keep. But always picking on eachother. They can definitely be jerks.

Welcome aboard. Since your first tank looks great. Bigger will only be better.
Thank you very much. Am battling nitrates. Am afraid my bioload is to high. But have been reading I might not want to trust the test kit in my api reefmaster kit. Gonna pick up a salifert today
