420nm or 460nm or both?

in need of replacing my 96w pc lights on my coralife fixture. I have three 250w mh lights and i'm needing to replace my pc lights but, what should i replace them with? My fixture has four of them so what I want to know is should I get all four 420 or 460 or 420/460 dual or what do you think?

I would like to have the redish look on one set of bulbs because that looks cool to me but, I don't think they make pc bulbs in the hue. so whats your thought?

Cool somebody answered me. I had thought about 2 of one and 2 of the other. And have them on different timers so the darker light would come on followed by the brighter then have the MH come on one by one to simulate sunrise and set. Lot of timers though (5 to be exact)

Yea, your really not going to see alot of difference in using it like that. They are more or less a color enhancer. If you were using a VHO Lamp then I'd say go ahead, as those are much brighter.

Alright so the 460's it is. One of these days ill get fancy with some leds but doing it with a 72" tank is not cheap.

It can be if you go with something like reef breeders. I lit my 90 for $360 with 2 fixtures and every type of coral I have had has been very happy.

My 25 gallon has a $600 Acan fixture but I didn't get it for that much lol. I think the reef breeders are much brighter, but they require a timer and do not do lightning storms like this light lol
