425 Redsea or Reef Octopus Skimmer??

Hi all! Starting off my first reef tank so need your opinions.. for a reefer 425 whats the best skimmer to go for? Redsea or reef octopus?

I have a 425xl and have a Red Sea rsk-300... I love it... the wiper blade really does help and built in drain port is really convenient.... I had an octopus prior but it did not have these features but it could have just been a entry level mode I think it was the 155SS classic

Hmm like dead silent? No there is a pump.l that makes a little hum but when stand doors are closed it blends in with everything else I have running… Now if your looking at a dc pump skimmer I bet those are quieter and I am not experienced enough to really know if the speed control on a dc pump would help me or not. But the rsk 300 is an AC pump

I have a RedSea XL300 tank and use an Eshopps s 200 skimmer which is quiet and efficient but little on the high price side.

No pump is silent, most DC pumps are quieter then AC pumps… cheap DC whir, AC humm
