45 gallons Acros tank

A question just pop up in my mind:
- My tank need 30ml Alk (ESV) to raise 1 dkh.
- I currently dose 95ml a day.
It means if the doser fail just for 1 day my Alk will drop 3dkh.

Does it mean my tank will crash if my doser fail for A DAY?[emoji32]

What do you think?

What lighting are you using for your fuge?
It's just a "grow bulb" that I found on Amazon search.

Just read this whole thread, just wow.

Helped me decide on my lighting. I'll run a similar setup.

How's the nyos skimmer still? Any issues?

You could try running two dosers for alk with 48 ml in each. Then in case of failure of one doser you would only have a swing of 1-1.5 dkh

But most of us don't test alk every day right? We usually test on weekly basis, so at the time of the test, Alk is drop 7~8dkh already?!

A friend says that the consume rate is nonlinear. Corals will consume less and less (stop growing) when resources are limited, until the point where they shocked and die.
It makes sense though, since last months I dosed only 85mil. I was too busy to test for alk. After month, it dropped to 7.3dkh (from 9dkh). So 10mil deplete every day for 30 days only drop Alk to 2dkh.

Thanks. The Nyos so far is a good choice. My old skimmer (wsc160) was good too, but I usually had random midnight overflowed for no reason. I haven't has similar incident with the Nyos.
The pump is good too, use less watt-->less heat.

I think that corals grow and consumption of soda increases, so you need to add a little daily dose.

Just in case you need something to cheer you up on Tuesday![emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

Very nice Acro tank. Hope to see more beautiful photo of your corals.

Tell us more about your frag tank setup. Thanks

The frag tank Is small, I would say 5 gallons max. It plumbed into my display, powered by AI prime HD.
I didn't talk much about it because I feel like I'm promoting for my acro sale (even though I haven't posted any sale thread in this forum.....yet[emoji4]), but I really happy of it result. Every single frags I put in here encrust and color up nicely.

Here is my little corner:

Share your Prime settings?
The prime is weak, I just tune up all the blue+uv channel and the white channel is 60% . Peak from 3pm to 9pm. After 9pm is blue + red for viewing pleasure!
Even with this super shallow frag tank, I only got 200 bar with this setting.
