I have the Red Sea 425 and with my pump return flow I have one output on each side. I never manage to get the flow direction correct and the bottom sand keeps moving.. Should I change to the dual output pipes? or is there a trick I am missing ?

Yes I have one single pump and the water returns to the tank with a small pipe on each side. I saw a lot who change out for these

Does it make a difference?

is there a superior brand or can I go with a red sea one?

VCA make these i think... RFG Random Flow Generators . They are on all my tanks

Is yours th single spout or double? Looking for one for the 425 RSR

Would you go with double spouts or single since the 425 has one output on each side?

Also where do you point your nozzles not to spray the sand all over the place? Havent found that sweet spot yet

If you have a return pump that can handle the extra nozzles i would run it. Can save you money for using less powerheads.

Looking at the Vivid ones.. Are they the ones to get or are there similar and half the price?
