I have 2 x 110w 454s and 2 x 110w White on my 75g. So far so good... I like the color... just enough supplement to my 20k 250w ebay bulbs. I may be changing out the 2 Whites for 454s when I need to change them out.

I don't have them but was thinking about getting the T-5 version.....What kinda blue are they? Not as blue as 03 actinic?

There a 460 nm they just coined the term 454.

it's my understanding that they are a blue color that is similar to the t5 ati blue plus bulb. is that correct?

i ended up ordering in a couple to test out. i've always used the vho super actinics...going to run 2 of each now to see how that works out with 400w radiums.

got the 454s installed and all i can say is HOLY COW - what an incredible bulb!

it's a very blue color and makes oranges just GLOW. my orange torch and orange wall hammer went from looking questionably orange, to very vividly "no question about it" dayglow orange. i have a new favorite bulb...

rev - for grins, when it's time to replace, go with one of each... super actinic r and the new 454. i am now running 2 of each. loves it!
