45g Mixed Reef Build

Hi everyone

Me and the Mrs finished building our home and we had a small area in the living room which was perfect for a 45G breeder (needed the smaller depth). She has experience in the hobby and has had a few tanks in the past. I'm completely new and enjoying it a lot so far. Looking forward to meeting some of you on here and at local events!

Thanks everyone! Next we will be adding our Midas Blenny and Red Fin Fairy wrasse. Currently in QT. That will put us as a blue reef chromis, pair of clowns, midas blenny, and red fin fairy wrasse. Think I can squeeze in a yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp? Would really like some sand sifters.

Keep an eye on your nutrient levels (nitrates, especially) but the watchman & shrimp should be able to find a home.

They'll sift and turn over the sand in the immediate vicinity of their home, but won't do much for keeping your whole sandbed pristine. Sifters that I'm aware of that _would_ will also want a larger sandbed to sift for snacks.
