46 bowfront cracked top

I was planning a 40b and then I saw this. I had a tank with a cracked top frame once and it helped. Would this be ok with some gorilla glue? Top to left of center brace?

What if I gorilla glued the gap, and also a long piece of stainless steel to the back of the trim?

40g breeder sells around 100$. That’s the price for a couple of frags. I don’t think I could sleep well knowing that a couple of 1000$ together with 40g corrosive water could go carpet surfing in the middle of the night. I would not chance it myself. Would check online used/close to you.

What kind of tank is it? You used to be able to get replacement trims from your fish store.
